On September 27 of 2019, during the 4th IBBY Asia Oceania Regional Conference, Sun Zhu, President of the IBBY China Section, Yumiko Sazaki, President of the IBBY Japan Section, and Soyean Ahn, Director of the IBBY Korea Section, reached a general agreement on regularly sharing related books among the China, Japan and South Korea Sections. The first books with the theme of “environment” are displayed on the official websites of the three country sections. The aim of this project is to promote exchanges and understanding among children and adolescents in China, Japan, and South Korea through books, to provide publishers of all countries with information on children’s books worth of publishing, and to provide people in these countries an opportunity to experience the culture of neighboring countries.
